As I complete one I abort through all other quests (except pay quests, see below) and start again. For this I personally prefer “Spend FP” and “Gather Supplies”.

Once you get to the recurring quests, they come in a few basic types depending mostly on where you are in your tech tree: Some of those you can abort but many you can’t, so you just need to plow through them.

To acquire access to recurring quests you need to get through all the side and bonus quests at a given level. You can have none, one, or two recurring quests available at any given time (depending on your age and progress in tech tree). Recurring quests are ones that happen between and after the story quests.
